Eight Wrestlers EarnPac-10 All-Academic Honors

Stanford, Calif. - Brad Selby, Levi Weikel-Magden, Ryan Jung, Fred Luminoso, Harold Penson, Justin Walker, Kenji Arai and Isaiah Camp all earned Pac-10 All Academic honors, the conference announced this week.
Selby and Weikel-Magden were named to the First Team. Selby, an English major, finished his sophomore season with nine wins. He finished fifth at the Pac-10 Championships and recorded an impressive win over the then-No. 2 ranked heavyweight wrestler in the country when he pinned Fresno State's Billy Blunt on Feb. 2. A Human Biology major, junior Weikel-Magden finished the year with 12 wins at 141 pounds and was 3-0 in regular season Pac-10 action. He was Stanford's top-finisher at the Reno Tournament where he claimed fifth place.
Jung, Luminoso, Penson and Walker were named to the Second Team. Jung, a junior Industrial Engineering major, captured one win during the season as he shared time at the 125 pound spot. Sophomore Management Science/Engineering major, Luminoso tallied four Pac-10 wins at the 197 pound division. Penson, an Economics major, was one of the Cardinal's two 20-plus win leaders with a 20-18 record. He contributed two falls and one technical fall during his sophomore season. Walker, a sophomore English major, led the team with 25 wins at the 133 pound spot.
Arai and Camp were given Honorable Mention honors. They combined for 11 wins this season, Arai with five at the 141 spot and Camp with six at 149 pounds.
