Women's Golf Places Third at Peg Barnard Collegiate

STANFORD - After holding down second place after the first day of the Peg Barnard Collegiate, California shot a 309 Saturday at Stanford Golf Course to finish third with a 36-hole score of 613. Stanford shot a 294 in the final round to win its own 11-team tournament with a score of 595.
San Jose State placed second with a 610. Rounding out the top five were Washington (615) and Oregon (620).
Oregon's Jerilyn White shot an even-par-144 to claim top individual honors. Stanford's Stephanie Keever and San Jose State's Jessica Kranzt finished tied for second three strokes off the pace (147).
