Softball's Games With Oregon State Will Not Be Carried By KSRB
April 18, 2001
SEATTLE - Due to delays in construction of Oregon State's new softball stadium, the two games scheduled to air from Corvallis, Ore., on KSRB 1150-AM have been canceled. Make-up dates for the pair of games, if available, have yet to be determined.
UW is one of the few softball programs in the nation with regular-season games broadcast by a local radio station. This year's schedule continues May 5-6, when the Huskies take on Pac-10 Conference foe Oregon in Seattle.
Mike Brown will handle play-by-play duties for the fourth- straight season, while John Cowley will provide color commentary. Each game's broadcast will begin and end with a 15-minute pre- and post-game show, featuring interviews with UW players and coaches.
