Men's Golf Finishes Fourth At Stanford Invitational

Palo Alto, Calif. - Freshman Hunter Mahan shot 211, including a final round 68, to lead the No. 6 USC men's golf team to a fourth place finish at the Stanford Invitational held at Stanford Golf Course in Palo Alto, Calif., this past weekend.
USC shot 859 to finish 22 strokes back of tourney champ Arizona (837). Arizona State was second (852), followed by UCLA (858), USC and tourney host Stanford (863).
Individually, Mahan tied four other players for fourth at 211. Chris Nallen of Arizona won the individual title, shooting 206, followed by Jeff Quinney of ASU and Andy Connell of Arizona at 210.
Also for the Trojans, senior Nick Jones tied for 8th (212), junior Kevin Stadler tied for 39th (220), senior Alex Kuyumjian tied for 48th (222), sophomore David Oh tied for 58th (225) and freshman Roderick Staunton tied for 77th (229) while competing as an individual.
USC next hits the links this Fri.-Sun. (April 27-29) when it competes at the Pac-10 Championships--also at the Stanford Golf Course in Palo Alto, Calif.
