Women's Golf Three Strokes Off Pace At Pac-10s

Tempe, Arizona - The Stanford women's golf team shot a six-over par 294 today at the Pac-10 Championships in Tempe, Arizona to take sole possesion of third place (589) heading into the final day of competition. The Cardinal are only three strokes off the pace set by co-leaders Arizona (586) and Arizona State (586). Rounding out the top five are California (590) and USC (594).
The top five teams at Pac-10s are with eight strokes of each other.
Leading the Cardinal is freshman Kim Kouwabunpat who shot a one-under par 71 today to move into a tie for eighth place (75-71--146). Senior Hilary Homeyer shot a three-over par 75 and is tied for 11th (72-75--147) while fellow senior Stephanie Keever fired an even par 72 to move into a tie for 16th. Frosh Angela Rho carded a four-over par 76 and is tied for 23rd while Sophomore Kim Rowton is tied for 26th at a nine-over par 153 (72-81). Freshman Marcia Wallis, competing as an individual, is tied for 48th with a two-day total of 159 (80-79).
Arizona's Natalie Gulbis has taken over the top spot on the leader board with a two-under par 142 through two rounds. Lorena Ochoa (Arizona), Sarah Huarte (California) an Vikki Laing (California) are tied for second with an even par 144.
Action concluded tomorrow at the Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, Arizona.
