OJAI, Calif. - Stanford University junior K.J. Hippensteel (Roanoke, VA/International Academy) advanced to the singles and doubles finals of the Pacific-10 Conference Men's Tennis Championships on Saturday in Ojai, and on Sunday will attempt to become the first player since 1994 (Wayne Black of USC) to sweep the two Pac-10 crowns. The Cardinal men will be represented in all four championship matches on Sunday.

At 2:00 p.m., 19th-ranked Hippensteel and Alex Kim (Potomac, MD/Winston Churchill HS) will play for the Pac-10 doubles title against Olivier Charroin and Pim Van Mele of Arizona State. Hippensteel and Kim avenged two earlier losses to UCLA's 12th-ranked duo of Grinda and Rojer with an 8-5 victory. The Cardinal pair has now won 13 of their last 15 matches after starting the season 4-3. Charroin and Van Mele advanced to the finals with an 8-4 win over Dillon Ruby and Ari Strasberg of Washington.

The Pac-10 men's singles invitational final will be an all-Stanford affair as senior Ali Ansari (Houston, TX/Second Baptist HS) will face off against sophomore Scott Lipsky (Merrick, NY/Bellmore-Kennedy HS). Ansari advanced to his second consecutive Pac-10 invitational final with a 6-1, 6-3 win over sophomore teammate Carter Morris (Washington, D.C./St. Alban's HS). Lipsky advanced to his first career tournament final with an easy 6-0, 6-2 victory over Dillon Ruby of Washington.

In the men's doubles invitational, 10th-ranked Lipsky and sophomore David Martin (Key Biscayne, FL/Boca Raton Prep) survived an all-Stanford semifinal to advance to Sunday's 12:30 p.m. championship match against Tobias Clemens and Lassi Ketola of UCLA.
