April 29, 2001

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Arizona State men's doubles team of freshman Olivier Charroin and sophomore Pim Van Mele fell just one game short of claiming the schools first Pac-10 doubles title.

The duo dropped the title game in straight sets to Stanford's K.J. Hippensteel and Alex Kim, 6-1, 6-1.

The unranked tandem made a nice run through the tournament knocking off three different teams from three different Pac-10 schools.

Arizona State will now wait for the NCAA Regional announcement, slated for Thursday, May 3 at 1:00 p.m.

Pac-10 Doubles Championship Game:
