Former Huskies Stars Return to Bank of America Arena

Seattle - Former University of Washington stars Jamie Redd (1996-99) and Amber Hall (1996-99) return to Hec Edmundson Pavilion when their current team, the WNBA's Seattle Storm, hosts Portland in an exhibition game Thurs, May 10 at Bank of America Arena.
In other Husky news, another former Washington standout joins the Storm's radio broadcast team. Elise (Niemela) Woodward has been named color analyst for the upcoming season, joining David Locke, who is in his second year as play-by-play announcer for the Storm.
Redd, Washington's all-time leading scorer, is in her second season with the Seattle Storm, an expansion team that began play last year. The 5-10 guard from San Francisco, Calif., who completed her Husky with 2,027 points, is in camp with 17 other players. Redd broke into the Storm's starting lineup for the final five games of the 2000 season and during that span, averaged 10 points per game.
Hall, Washington's career-leading rebounder, was invited to the Storm camp following her return from Israel, where she played last season. A 6-2 center, she finished her Husky career with 1,003 rebounds over her four year tenure.
The former Elise Niemela played at Washington from 1994-97. She was a captain during her senior season when she was earned First Team All Pac-10 academic honors. Woodward is a sports reporter for FOX Sports Northwest's 'Regional Sports Report.'
Tickets to the Storm exhibition game at Bank of America Arena are $8 and may be purchased in advance through Ticketmaster or at the arena on game day. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. and doors to the arena will open at 6 p.m.
The Storm opens its 2001 regular season at home, against the Phoenix Mercury, May 10 at KeyArena.Tipoff is 7 p.m.
