Sun Devils Top Knox Raiders 86-76

MELBOURNE, Australia - The Arizona State men's basketball team topped the Knox Raiders 86-76 towin its second straight game on its Australian Tour Friday night. The SunDevils trailed for most of the first half and the score was tied at 41 atthe half, but some timely three-point shooting gave the Sun Devils the win.ASU hit eight three-point shots on the night, led by last year's redshirtsTanner Shell and Justin Allen. Shell was 2-of-3 and Allen 3-of-5 frombeyond the arc.
Tommy Smith again led ASU with 20 points, as he was 10-of-12 from thefloor. Shell posted 15 points, including his trio of three pointers.
Allen added nine points, all of them coming on his three-point shots. Allenalready has six three-pointers in his two games on the trip. Chad Prewittadded 14 points and six points.
ASU is scheduled to play again in Sydney at 7 p.m. (Australian Time) onSunday, May 20, which is 2 a.m. Sunday in Arizona, as Australia is 17 hoursahead of Phoenix.
