Men's Golf Seeded No. 5 at NCAA Championships

TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of Arizona men's golf team received the fifth seed at the 2001 NCAA Men's Golf Championships. The Championships are scheduled for May 30-June 2 in Durham, N.C.
By virtue of the No. 5 seed, the Wildcats will begin competition with a 12:18 p.m. EDT tee time from the first hole on Wednesday, May 30. The Wildcats will be paired with No. 4 seed Oklahoma and No. 6 seed North Carolina State for the first two rounds. The same three teams are scheduled for a 7:18 a.m. EDT tee time on Thursday, May 31, from the 10th hole.
Arizona, which has qualified for the NCAA Championships for 15 consecutive years, is one of thirty teams and six individuals to have qualified for the championship tournament. Following the second round on May 31, the field will be pared down to the top 15 teams and top nine individuals.
The 2001 NCAA Men's Golf Championships will be contested at the Duke University Golf Club, a par 72, 7,045-yard facility in Durham, N.C.
