UCLA's Season Ends with NCAA Doubles Loss

Stone Mountain, Ga. -- The UCLA women's tennis team's season officially came to an end Thursday as the Bruins' final entrants in the NCAA Individual Championships were beaten in the quarterfinals.
UCLA's Lauren Fisher and Petya Marinova fell to second-seeded Laura Granville and Gabriela Lastra of Stanford, 7-6, 2-6, 6-1 in the NCAA doubles draw at the Lincoln Tennis Center in Stone Mountain, Ga. Ranked 18th in the latest ITA doubles rankings, Fisher and Marinova finish the season with a 23-16 overall record.
As a team, UCLA fell to No. 6 Vanderbilt, the eventual NCAA runner-up, in the team championship round of 16 last Thursday.
