Beaver Baseball Camps

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The 2001 Beaver Baseball Camps have been scheduled for this summer on the Oregon State campus. There will be a day camp June 18-20 for players age 7-12, there will be an overnight camp July 29-Aug. 2 for players age 8-17.

Beaver Baseball Camps are designed to provide the best possible instruction for players of all ages and abilities, and the camp staff includes OSU head coach Pat Casey and assistant coaches Gary Henderson and Dan Spencer. The camps will be held at OSU's Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.

Emphasis is placed upon improving each player's skills and knowledge of baseball. The program covers all positions and game situations, including proper techniques of hitting, pitching, catching, infield and outfield play, baserunning and team defense. Instruction is adjusted for age and ability levels, and skills are put to use in games each day.

The day camp runs from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and the cost is $125. The overnight camp cost is $325 for overnight campers, who will stay in OSU dormitories, or $250 for day campers. For more information on either camp, call the OSU Baseball office at (541) 737-5738.
