McLachlin Places Among Top 20 at NCAA Men's Golf

UCLA junior Parker McLachlin finished among the top 20 individuals at the NCAA Men's Golf Championships at Duke University Golf Club.
McLachlin completed his third collegiate season by playing the final 36 holes in even par to finish in a tie for 16th place at one-under par. After play was halted on Friday because of heavy rain, McLachlin finished his third round Saturday morning and his final round Saturday afternoon. He posted scores of 74-69-73-71-287 for the 72-hole tournament.
Florida's Nick Gilliam captured individual medalist honors by playing the last two rounds in seven-under par for a total of 276, 12-under par. Teammate Camilo Benedetti and Augusta State's Jamie Elson tied for second at 279, nine-under par.
Flordia also took home the team title, playing the 72-hole event in 13-under par. Clemson finished second, followed by Arizona.
