RICHMOND, Va. - A quartet of University of Oregon freshmen men's track and field athletes wrapped up their first collegiate seasons for the Ducks with strong performances at the USATF Junior National Championships at Sports Backer Stadium this past weekend.
A pair of hurdlers, freshmen Jake Garlick (Salt Lake City, Utah) and Brandon Holliday (Beaverton, Ore.), competed Sunday in the finals of the 110 and 400 hurdles and took sixth (15.17) and fourth (53.07), respectively. In Saturday's qualifying action, Garlick advanced to the final after clocking the sixth-fastest time in the prelims (14.43), while Holliday stood eighth in the 400 hurdles prelims (56.08).
