Shelly Ripple Swims First Leg Of 4x200 Freestyle Relay Heat For USA

Fukuoka, Japan - Stanford's Shelly Ripple swam the first leg for the USA team in a heat for the 4x200 freestyle relay on Wednesday at the FINA World Swimming Championships. Ripple swam her leg in 2:01.47 as the Americans finished fourth in the heat with a final time of 8:05.02.

The USA team (without Ripple) was disqualified in the finals of the 4 x 200 meters later in the day.
