Soccer Picked Sixth In The Pac-10 By Coaches

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Arizona State women's soccer team has been tabbed to finish sixth in the Pacific-10 Conference race this year in a preseason vote of the head coaches. NCAA runner-up UCLA has been selected as the favorite to win the conference title.
Nationally in the preseason polls, Arizona State was selected 21st by Soccer Buzz and received votes by the NSCAA.
The Sun Devils, under first year head coach Ray Leone, return four All-Pac-10 Conference selections, including three-time All-American Stacey Tullock.
Additionally, Tullock was just recently selected to the 2001 Collegesoccer.com Preseason All-American team. Tullock is currently ASU's all-time leader in goals (44), game-winning goals (15), assists (19) and total points (104).
Arizona State begins its sixth season of competition on Friday, August 31 against Baylor University in Waco, Texas. The Sun Devils open their home campaign on Sunday, September 9 against the University New Mexico at 5:00 p.m.
