Foschi Helps USA Win Gold In 4x200 Free Relay

Beijing, China - Stanford's Jessica Foschi swam the third leg for the USA in a 4x200 meter freestyle relay heat on Friday to help the Americans to the top qualifying time (8:11.68) in the event at the 2001 World University Games in Beijing, China. The USA won the gold in the event later in the day, without Foschi, recording a mark of 8:10.68.
Foschi had earlier finished seventh in the women's 800 meter freestyle on Thursday with a time of 8:48.70 in the finals.
