USA Women Beat Brazil; Williams Nets Nine Points

BEIJING, China - The USA Basketball Women's World University Games Team (5-1) defeated Brazil (3-4) 82-62 Wednesday, advancing to the medal semifinal round.

University of Oregon guard Shaquala Williams sparked the USA with four of her nine points in the second quarter. She made 4 of 8 from the field, 1 of 2 from the line and grabbed a game-high four offensive rebounds in 16 minutes on the floor.

Standford's Cori Enghusen scored a team-high 13 points while Oklahoma's Caton Hill recorded 12 points, five rebounds and three steals. With the win, the USA women claim first place in pool E and will face Lithuania (5-2) Thursday at 3 p.m. at the University Students' Gym.
