Running Back Brian Allen To Chat Online On Wednesday
Sept. 4, 2001
STANFORD, Calif. -
Welcome to ESPN.com's moderated chat room. On Wednesday, Stanford running back Brian Allen, hits the chat room to talk about the upcoming Cardinal season.
Allen looks to headline what should be a strong returning backfield this season, along with Kerry Carter and Casey Moore. The senior from Ontario, Calif., has started 17 straight games for the Cardinal at running back and has amassed 1,218 yards during his career and needs just 375 to move into the school's top-10 career rushing list.
Allen started all 11 games for the Cardinal last season, carrying the ball 117 times for 460 yards while catching 10 passes for 105 yards. The explosive running back rushed for a season-high 95 yards on 10 carries against rival San Jose State in the second game of 2000. His 71-yard scamper against Notre Dame last season was not only the longest run of the year for the Cardinal, but also the longest of his career.
The Cardinal square off against Boston College on Sept. 8 (7 p.m. PT, Fox Sports Net) at home in their 2001 season opener.
Allen won't hit the chat room until Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. PT. Feel free to drop him some questions now and we'll save them for his arrival. For more news on Stanford Football, visit www.gostanford.com!
