THAT'S JUST THE WAY IT IS Things aren't the same in women's collegiate volleyball this season. The NCAA scoring committee adopted rally scoring for the 2001 season. The first four games will be played to 30 and a point will be scored everytime the ball is put into play, regardless of which team served. A fifth game, if necessary, will be played to 15 points. Let scoring was also adopted, meaning if the ball grazes the net on a serve but still goes over, it remains in play.
The Oregon classic Four teams are traveling to Eugene for the Oregon Classic - Boise State, Eastern Washington, Northridge and New Mexico State. Every team will play each other once and there will be five matches on Friday and five matches on Saturday.
