Oregon Volleyball 6-0 After Sweep Of New Mexico State

EUGENE - Oregon senior Monique Tobbagi had 18 kills and a .615 hitting percentage as the Ducks defeated New Mexico State (2-3) in three games, 30-22, 31-29, 30-23 in front of 150 fans at the Oregon Classic in Eugene. The Ducks remain unbeaten and improve to 6-0 on the season.

Tobbagi's 18 kills is a season-high as is her hitting her hitting percentage. Tobaggi added 11 digs for the double double. Junior transfer Stephanie Martin and setter Sydney Chute added eight kills and three blocks each. Chute added 36 assists and hit .462.

As a team, Oregon hit .300 and outkilled (52-34), outdug (37-25) and outblocked (7-3) the Aggies while holding them to a .109 hitting percentage. Stevi Adams led New Mexico State with eight kills and four digs.

Oregon hosts Eastern Washington at 7 p.m. in the final match of Friday's round. The tournament continues at 9 a.m. Saturday.
