Oregon Volleyball Falls 3-0 To Eastern Washington

EUGENE - The University of Oregon volleyball team (6-1) dropped its first match of the season, a 31-29, 30-23, 30-27 setback to Eastern Washington University in front of 436 fans in the nightcap of the Oregon Classic Friday.

All three games remained close throughout as the team's traded points often, but Eastern Washington was able to score down the stretch. The Broncs hit .115 to Oregon's .062 and had 15 blocks to the Ducks' 10.

Oregon junior Stephanie Martin led all players with 12 kills and added six blocks. Senior Monique Tobbagi added 10 kills and nine digs.

Monica Lynch and Robyn Felder each had nine kills to lead Eastern Washington and Felder hit a match-high .316.

The Oregon Classic continues at 9 a.m. Saturday. The Ducks face Cal State Northridge at 11:30 a.m.
