Men's Golf in Eighth After First Day at Mid Pines

Southern Pines, N.C. - The California men's golf team is in eighth place after shooting a two-round 574 (-2) Monday at the inaugural Mid Pines Intercollegiate.

Texas Tech leads the 16-team field after the first day with a 565 (-11), followed by Old Dominion, 566 (-10), San Diego State, 568 (-8), Louisville, 569 (-7), and Furman, 570 (-6).

On the individual leaderboard, Old Dominion's Geoffrey Harris holds a one stroke lead, -10, over Texas Tech's David Bolen, -9.
