UW-Miami Football Game Rescheduled for Nov. 24
Sept. 17, 2001
Seattle - Washington athletic director Barbara Hedges and Miami athletic director Paul Dee jointly announced today that Saturday's postponed football game between the two schools has been rescheduled for Saturday, Nov. 24. The kickoff time is undetermined. Both schools are also awaiting ABC Sports to announce its plans for broadcasting games that were postponed last Saturday and rescheduled for later in the season.
'November 24 was the logical date to reschedule the game for both teams,' says Washington athletic director Barbara Hedges. 'Paul and I agreed not to set the kickoff at this time to allow for network television to have some flexibility in determining their schedule for the day. I want to thank Paul, Miami Coach Larry Coker, and their staffs, for working quickly last week to first postpone the game and then to reschedule it.'
Miami athletic officials announced that original tickets for the game would be honored for the re-scheduled date of Nov. 24.
