Oregon will compete Tuesday against San Jose State (1-2-0) at Spartan Stadium. The match begins at 7:30 p.m. Oregon then will play a scrimmage Wednesday against the University of San Francisco that will not count on either teams' records. The Ducks also added a home match against Nevada (0-4-0) this Sunday at 1 p.m.

COACH BILL STEFFEN
Bill Steffen is in his sixth year as the Ducks' coach and has directed Oregon since the program's inaugural season in 1996. He has a 28-62-8 record in six years. In 1999, the Ducks finished with a 7-11-1 mark-the best record in school history.

SERIES VS. SAN JOSE STATE
This will be the fourth meeting between the Ducks and Spartans, with San Jose State leading the series 2-1. In last year's match at Eugene, five different players scored goals as Oregon defeated San Jose State, 5-3. Beth Bowler scored her first career goal for the first score in the 20th minute. Bowler also helped put Oregon up 3-1 by assisting Crystal David's in the 64th minute. San Jose State, an eventual NCAA Tournament participant, rallied in the second half behind a pair of goals from Kristina Jacob, but the Ducks sealed the victory after Ann Westermark's goal in the 86th minute. San Jose State won 4-1 in 1997 and 3-0 in 1999. Both were played at San Jose.

SERIES VS. NEVADA
This will be the first meeting between the Ducks and Wolf Pack.
