Women's Golf In Third After First Round Of NCAA Fall Preview

Auburn, Wash. - Sophomores Anna Lee and Anna Rawson each shot 74 on Monday to lead the No. 5 USC women's golf team into third place after one round of the 2001 NCAA Fall Preview held at Washington National Golf Club in Auburn, Wash., on Sept. 24-26 (Mon.-Wed.).

Today's second round begins with an 8:30 a.m. shot gun start.

The Women of Troy shot 298, five strokes behind team leader Tennessee (293). Ohio State was second at 294, while ASU was fourth at 299 and Auburn fifth with 300.

Lee and Rawson are tied for 21st individually, while juniors Becky Lucidi and Mikaela Parmlid each shot 75 to tie for 29th. Sophomore Yon Yim shot 76 to tied for 43rd.

Virada Nirapathpongporn of Duke and Young-A Yang of Tennessee each shot 70 and are deadlocked at the top of the leader board.
