UCLA Women Eighth at Griak Invitational, Men Finish 30th.

Today, at the Roy Griak Invitational, held at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in St. Paul, Minnesota, the Bruin women placed eighth and the men finished 30th.
11th ranked Arizona State, finishing with a total of 109 points won the women's race. Rounding out the top-five teams were ninth ranked Providence (139), eighth ranked Arizona (167), 14th ranked Colorado State (188), and 24th ranked Michigan State (194). The Bruins finished eighth with a total of 276 points.
Individually, Alejandra Barrientos was the top finisher for the Bruins, coming in 21st in 21:27.6. Valerie Flores finished 31st in 21:48.3, followed by Lori Mann, 52nd- 22:04.2, Elaine Canchola, 70th- 22:18.3, Carolyn Shea, 102nd- 22:33.7, Tiffany Burgess, 164th- 23:04.9, and Jessica Marr, 167th- 23:08.6.
In the men's race, Wisconsin-Madison came in first, finishing with 129 points. 13th ranked Portland came in second (167), followed by fifth ranked Providence (189) in third, Colorado State in fourth place with (192) and Duke rounding out the top five with 212 points. The Bruin men finished 30th with 806 points.
Individually, Ben Aragon came in 112th (25:27.5), finishing first for the Bruins. Bryan Green came in 148th in 25:42.6, followed by Puneet Mahan in 176th place (25:52.7). Phil Young placed 188th (25:59.9), Seth Neumuller finished 200th in 26:09.3, and Justin Patananan finished 211th in 26:21.0.
