Men's Golf In 7th Place After First Round Of The Husky Invitational

Bremerton, Wash. - The Stanford men's golf team completed play in seventh place in the first round of the Husky Invitational hosted by the University of Washington on the Gold Mountain Golf Complex this afternoon. Senior Philip Rowe (Cornwall, UK) carded the Cardinal's top first round score with a one-over par.
Stanford recorded a team score of 378, just five shots back from second place. Washington leads the way with a 367, followed by Oregon (373) and Washington State (374).
Washington's John Robertson tied the Olympic course record with a 67, and currently leads the tournament with a five-under par. Stanford's Jim Seki (Honolulu, HI) and Blake Mastalir (Englewood, CO) each shot a three-over par in the first round to tie for 20th-place.
The 10-team tournament field is currently underway in the second round on the par-72, 7,035-yard Olympic Course. The tournament will continue tomorrow with the final round. Tee time is set for 7:30 a.m.
