Softball Plays Host To Western Washington Friday

SEATTLE - The Washington softball team will play host to Western Washington University Friday, October 5, for a pair of fall exhibition games, beginning at 1 p.m. at Husky Softball Stadium. The two schools also faced each other a year ago at the Huskies' Alaska Airlines Fall Classic in late September.

The Huskies, who claimed the program's eighth straight NCAA tournament bid in 2001, boast a talented roster of 18 players, including All-Americans Tia Bollinger and Jaime Clark. and five freshmen. The doubleheader will be the team's last games at home this fall, as the UW travels to Nebraska, October 11-14, for a tournament in Lincoln.
