Men's Soccer Falls To 10th-ranked USD, 3-0

San Diego, Calif. - Eric Wunderle's goal three minutes into the match was all 10th-ranked San Diego needed to defeat UCLA 3-0 in a non-conference affair Friday night in Torero Stadium. Wunderle later assisted Alex Romagnolo at the 36:55 mark in the first half to increase San Diego's lead to 2-0 at halftime.
Nearly 2,000 spectators saw San Diego's Sy Reeves score his third goal on the year in the 54th minute of the second half, giving the now 7-1 Toreros the 3-0 win.
The Bruins, who fall to 3-4-2 on the season, out-shot USD, 27-13, in a game that yielded 61 total fouls. Tim Pierce led UCLA offensively with seven shots. Matt Taylor and Brandon Kay got off three shots apiece. Goalkeeper Zach Wells made four saves in the contest.
UCLA will look to get back on track against San Diego State on Sunday, Oct. 7. The Bruins and Aztecs kick off on the SDSU campus at 3:00 pm.
