Men's Golf In 4th Place At Fresno Lexus Classic

Fresno, Calif. - The Stanford men's golf team finished day one in fourth place at the Fresno Lexus Golf Classic Friday afternoon at the Par 72 Sunnyside Country Club. Ron Won (Irvine, CA) is currently tied for third place with a 36-hole score of three-under 141.

Stanford recorded a team total of 581 in the first day of competition at the 39th annual tournament. Host school Fresno State ended the day in first-place with a score of 560, followed by San Diego State (575) and UC-Santa Barbara (579).

Won carded scores of 75 and 66, to finish three-under par. Blake Mastalir (Englewood, CO) is tied for 16th-place after shooting a one-over par 145.

Fresno State's Nick Watney is the tournament leader, firing a ten-under 134.
