Men's Golf 12th at Pepperdine

Somis, Calif. - Senior David Yarnes fired a second round 2-over-par 74 after a tournament opening 78, to lead the Oregon State University men's golf team in the first day of The Club Glove Intercollegiate. Yarnes is tied for 29th heading into Tuesday's final round.

The Beavers are 12th as a team with a 36-hole total of 625. The team opened with a disappointing round of 316 and followed with a 309. The host Pepperdine Waves lead the tournament at 580, 14 shots better than second place San Jose State.

Jason Allred of Pepperdine has a three shot lead heading into the final 18 holes. Allred shot an opening 74, but followed with a tournament low 67. Daniel Ozley of Alabama-Birmingham and Scott Henderson of San Diego State are tied for second at 144.

The rest of the OSU contingent includes Chance Holmes tied for 48th at 156, Michael Jurgensen is tied for 55th at 159, Daren Grieg is 60th at 163, and Andres Gonzales is tied for 61st at 164.
