Wildcats Remain Seventh in USA Today/AVCA Coaches Poll
TUCSON, Ariz.- The Arizona volleyball team remained seventh in the latest edition of the USA Today/AVCA coaches poll that was released today. The Wildcats, who finished the week of play 1-1, held their spot despite losing a five game match at fourth-ranked Stanford on Sunday. Arizona had beaten in-state rival Arizona State, 3-1, on Friday.
Long Beach State, which took over the top ranking a week ago, remains a top the poll with defending national champion Nebraska second. The Pac-10 Conference remains firmly entrenched in the top 10 with USC coming in third, Stanford at fourth and UCLA fifth.
