WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Stanford outside hitter Logan Tom has been named the Pacific Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for October 1 - 7, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Tom, a junior from Salt Lake City, Utah, helped lead the Cardinal to a 4-0 record last week, including wins over ranked opponents. Stanford downed No. 24 Santa Clara (3-1), Oregon (3-0), Oregon State (3-0) and No. 7 Arizona (3-2) while playing four matches in six days.

Tom recorded a total of 70 kills (4.67 kpg) while hitting at a .327 clip for the week. She led the team with 42 digs (2.80 dpg) and eight service aces (0.53 pg). Tom also notched four block solos and 10 block assists (0.93 bpg). She tallied her 100th career service ace against Santa Clara (Oct. 2) as well as her 1,000th kill against Oregon State (Oct. 6) and now has 1,029 for her career.

It was the fourth weekly honor in Tom's career, Stanford's 42nd all-time.
