Klaas, from Cherry Valley, Ill., led an aggressive Husky defense in its 1-0 overtime shutout victory over Santa Clara Oct. 5. Klaas helped limit SCU to 7 shots in the road win, while the Huskies tallied 12.

It was the third shutout of the season for Washington (7-1-0, 0-0-0), its second overtime game, and increased the team's current win streak to five games. Klaas is the team leader in shots this season, with 24.
