Perkins/McKenna Duo Wins Two At All-American Tennis Championships

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif.--The 27th ranked doubles team of Erica Perkins and Stacy McKenna won two of three matches in the qualifying doubles bracket at the Riviera Women's All-American Championships played at the Riviera Tennis Club.
In the first qualifying round, played Tuesday, Perkins and McKenna upset Arizona State's eighth-seeded Mhairi Brown/Megan Yeats combo, 8-6. Brown/Yeats are ranked 19th nationally.
Wednesday's second round of qualifying saw the Cougar combo continue its hot start. Perkins and McKenna defeated Baylor's Katja Kovac/Vida Mulec, 8-5.
Southern California's Anita Loyola/Luana Magnani duo eliminated Perkins/McKenna, 8-6, in the third and final round of qualifying.
Teams needed to win all three matches to advance to the Oct. 11-14 Main Draw.
