Cardinal Capsule: Luke Powell
Oct. 19, 2001
The Stanford football team will be fun to watch this year because:
We have some unknown players that are making a lot of plays.
Earl, Luscious, Delicious, Six-Pack.
Favorite Music Artist:
Favorite non-football activity:
Ken Griffey, Jr.
Best advice you ever received:
'Work hard now, so you can enjoy life later.'
Favorite midnight snack:
Cheese and crackers.
Most prized possession:
My photo album.
Somewhere you haven't been that you'd most like to visit:
If you could play another sport at Stanford, what would it be:
Opponent you would most like to beat:
Oregon, because they have been getting a lot of hype.
The best part about being a student-athlete at Stanford is:
It's the best of both worlds. You are here year around with some of the best athletes in the world, and the Stanford education is second to none.
Most influential person in your life:
Favorite gameday meal:
Pasta or chicken soup.
If I won $1 million dollars, I would:
I would give some of it away to charity and save some for my family. Then I'd probably save the rest of it.
What I like most about my hometown:
It's small but not too small. I know almost everyone there.
Which of your teammates do you admire the most and why:
Randy Fasani and Coy Wire. Coy because of the intensity that he brings every day to practice and into games and Randy because he's very level-headed, a devout Christian and serves as a role model to others.
Nobody knows how much I like:
Favorite class at Stanford:
Roman Art, taught by Jody Maxmin. She has so enthusiasm for her subject and it makes the class so much more interesting.
One word that describes you:
A friend from another college football team:
Linebacker Jamil Northcutt from Mississippi, as well as high school teammates from East Tennessee State.
