Cal Men's Swimming Places Second at Pacific Invitational

STOCKTON, CA - The California men's swimming team started off the 2001-02 season by placing second at the Pacific Invitational, Oct. 19-20, in Stockton, CA. The Bears finished the two-day invitational with 775 points, trailing Stanford (1,017) and topping Pacific (534). Individual winners for Cal included freshman Duje Draganja, who won both the 50 (20.80) and 100 free (45.05), and senior Peter Aronsson, who captured the 200 IM (1:55.09). The Bears also won the 200 free relay (1:23.96) and the 400 medley relay (3:28.59).

Cal will next compete against the University of Texas in a dual meet at USC, Friday, Oct. 26, at 1 p.m. at McDonald Swim Stadium on the USC campus.
