Men's Golfers Ninth After Day One In Stockton

The UCLA men's golf team is ninth after two rounds of the University of the Pacific Invitational at The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton.
The Bruins posted a two-round total of 584, six-over par, and trail eighth place Long Beach State by one shot. Fresno State and UC Irvine are tied for first place at 570, six-under par, followed by Nevada in third at 571. Host Pacific and Coastal Carolina are tied for fourth at 579.
Individually for the Bruins, senior Parker McLachlin is tied for 23rd place at 145, one-over par after posting a one-under par score of 71 in the afternoon round. Sophomores John Merrick, Roy Moon and Doug Batty are each tied for 30th at 147, three -over par. Steve Conway is tied for 43rd at 150.
UC Davis' Will Johnson leads the field at 137, seven-under par, followed by Troy McKinley of Pacific at 138. Two players are tied for third at 139.
The final round continues tomorrow.
