Pac-10 Women's Soccer Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- ARIZONA freshman forward Candice Wilks has been named the Pac-10 Women's Soccer Player of the Week for Oct. 16-22, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Wilks, from Altadena, Calif., scored both game-winning goals and assisted another while leading the Wildcats to a sweep of the Oregon schools last weekend. The victories mark UA's first back-to-back Pac-10 wins in school history.
In the 2-1 win over the Ducks on Oct. 19, Wilks totaled a goal and an assist, netting the game-winner in the 65th minute. In the 2-1 overtime win over the Beavers Oct. 21, Wilks scored the game-winner just one minute into the overtime period, giving Arizona its first ever Pac-10 sweep.
Arizona (5-7-1, 2-2-0 Pac-10) travels to Washington and Washington State this weekend.
This is Wilks' first career Pac-10 Player of the Week honor and Arizona's third women's soccer Player of the Week honor all-time.
