Cal Men's Swimming Defeats UC Santa Barbara, 114-89

SANTA BARBARA, CA - The California men's swimming team (1-1) defeated UC Santa Barbara, 114-89, Sunday, Oct. 28 in a dual meet at the Campus Pool on the UCSB campus. The Golden Bears took first in seven of the meet's 11 events. Individual winners for Cal included senior Mattias Ohlin in the 200 freestyle (1:41.41) and 100 butterfly (50.53), freshman Duje Draganja in the 50 (21.04) and 100 freestyle (46.10), sophomore Alex Lim in the 100 backstroke (48.94), freshman John Dorr in the 500 free (4:42.48) and senior Peter Aronsson in the 100 breast (58.68). In addition, the Bears took first in the 200 medley relay with a time of (1:35.03).

Cal will next host an Alumni Meet, Nov. 16 at 3:30 p.m. at Spieker Aquatics Complex, before traveling to Austin, TX for the Texas Invitational, Nov. 30-Dec. 2.
