Wide Receiver Luke Powell To Chat On Wednesday

STANFORD, Calif. - On Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. (PT), Stanford wide receiver - and the nation's leading punt returner - Luke Powell hits the ESPN.com moderated chat room to talk about the Cardinal's 2001 season.

Powell, who is a redshirt sophomore, leads all of Division I-A football with 19.7 yards per return. He is also second on the team in receptions (22), receiving yards (383) and receiving touchdowns (three).

Powell is also Stanford's record holder for career yards per catch at 22.4. The Smyrna, Tennessee, native has 39 career receptions for 875 yards. As a redshirt freshman in 2000, Powell had 18 receptions for 502 yards and three touchdowns.

The Cardinal, which is ranked 10th by the Associated Press and 13th in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll, plays its third top 10 team in as many weeks when it visits Washington (#10 USA Today/ESPN/#11 AP) this Saturday.
