Oregon Women's Golf 16th After First Round at Rainbow Wahine Fall Golf Classic

OAHU, Hawaii - Senior Kathy Cho shot rounds of 79 and 80 Tuesday to stand tied for 47th after the first round of the Rainbow Wahine Fall Golf Classic at the 5,900-yard, par-72 Kapolei Golf Course.

Oregon shot rounds of 323-328 for a 651 composite, tying UNLV for 16th of 19 teams and finishing 55 strokes behind Tuesday's leader New Mexico (596).

Sophomore Lacy Erickson tied her season-low round of 80 in her first 18 holes and is tied for 60th after shooting 161 for the day. Freshman Jess Carolyn also tied a season-low round of 81 that she captured at the Stanford-Pepsi Intercollegiate last week and finished tied for 64th (81-81-162).

Tournament action will continue today in the 18-hole final round.
