Husky Rowers Open Fall Season

Seattle - The Washington rowing program opens its Fall 2001 racing season at the 13th annual Portland Loop Regatta held on the Willamette River. Both men and women's varsity and junior varsity eight's will compete against crews from Oregon State, Oregon, Lewis and Clark. Joining the regatta this season will be a long-standing Washington rival, University of Victoria. The Huskies are expected to launch at 8 a.m. to race the 5-mile course.
Washington returns home next week to host two regattas, the Pair Head Sat. Nov 10, and the Head of the lake Sun, Nov. 11. Both races begin at 8 a.m. on Lake Washington.
