WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - STANFORD's Logan Tom has been named the Pac-10 Player of the Week for October 29 - November 4, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Tom, a junior from Salt Lake City, Utah, led Stanford to three victories during the week, including a sweep of the Oregon schools. Overall, Tom tallied 52 kills (5.20 kpg) while hitting at a .339 clip. She also added 44 digs (4.40 dpg), eight service aces (0.80 sapg) and nine blocks (0.90 bpg).
Against Sacramento State, Tom posted 12 kills and 10 digs in the win. Later, she notched 17 kills, 16 digs and five block assists in a victory over Oregon. Tom concluded the weekend by adding a match-high 23 kills (.432 hitting percentage) and 18 digs as well as four service aces in a win at Oregon State.
Tom currently ranks first in the Pac-10 in kills (4.78 kpg), service aces (0.54 sapg) and points 5.82 (ppg). Additionally, she ranks second in the Conference in digs (3.41 dpg).
It was the fifth weekly honor in Tom's career, Stanford's 43rd honor all-time.
