Men's Basketball Television Schedule Announced

The Oregon State University men's basketball team will make a guaranteed 12 national, regional, or local television live game appearances during the 2001-2002 season. The Beavers are also eligible for an additional five national broadcasts.
Oregon State is scheduled for five appearances nationally on the Fox Sports Network. The first game of the five is Dec. 22 when the Beavers host the Arizona State Sun Devils. OSU will also be featured nationally Jan. 12 at home against California, Feb. 7 at California, Feb. 23 against Washington State, and Mar. 2 at Southern California.
Fox Sports Net Northwest will air regional Oregon State games, beginning Jan. 6 at Arizona State. The carrier, which airs in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, and parts of Montana, is also scheduled to broadcast the Jan. 26 game at Washington, Feb. 2 at home vs. Pac-10 Conference preseason favorite UCLA, and Feb. 18 at home against the University of Portland.
The Beaver Sports Network, which includes stations KVAL in Eugene and KWBP in Portland, has announced a three-game television package. Oregon State's first appearance will be Nov. 30 at home against 2001 NCAA Tournament participant Southern Utah University. The local network will also air the Jan. 19 Civil War game vs. Oregon, and Feb. 9 at defending conference champion Stanford. The network is also currently negotiating with other stations in Oregon to carry the games.
Oregon State also could also appear on ESPN in the championship game of the Great Alaska Shootout, on the Fox Sports Network at the Pacific-10 Conference Tournament, and on CBS in the championship game of the conference tournament. Fox Sports Net also may select the Feb. 28 regular season game at UCLA at a later date.
