First Rankings of the 2001-02 Swimming and Diving Season Released

TUCSON, Ariz. - The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) released the first rankings of the 2001-02 swimming and diving season this week. The Arizona women begin the season ranked fifth with a total of 170 points. Leading the pack for the women are Stanford (199), Georgia (188), Auburn (182) and Texas (171).

On the men's side of the rankings the Wildcats start the season seventh with 146 behind Stanford (200), Texas (192), Tennessee (178), Southern California (176) and Auburn (167).

The next CSCAA rankings will be released Nov. 15. The next action for the Wildcats will be at home on Nov. 16 against USC.
