SEATTLE - Down two games to none, the Washington volleyball team rallied to take game three, but fell short in game four as the fourth-ranked Arizona Wildcats defeated the Huskies (3-1), 30-26, 30-19, 28-30, 30-27, Friday at Bank of America Arena. With the loss, the Huskies, playing their third straight ranked opponent, dropped to 11-14 overall and 4-12 in the Pac-10. The Wildcats, meanwhile, won their ninth straight match to improve to 17-3 overall and 12-3 in conference play.
The Huskies were led by senior outside hitter Allison Richardson (Hemet, Calif.) who tallied 20 kills to go along with 13 digs for her 14th double-double of the season. Freshman Kaitlin Leck (Carson City, Nev.) and junior Paige Benjamin (Redmond, Wash.) also finished with double-doubles for the second consecutive match, as Leck tallied 12 kills and 11 digs, while Benjamin added 10 kills and 11 digs.
