Women's Rowing Junior Varsity Eight Grabs Second at Head of the Lake

Seattle - Washington State University's women's rowing junior varsity eight (A) grabbed a second place finish Saturday, as the Cougars completed the fall rowing season at the Head of the Lake Regatta at Montlake Cut.

The junior varsity (A) squad finished with a time of 18:03.18, just a few seconds behind University of Washington's 17:56.93. The (B) boat finished ninth at 19:26.32.

In the open eight race, WSU rowed to a seventh place finish with a time of 17:57.30.

The Cougars will open the Spring season Saturday, March 27, in the Fawley Cup against Gonzaga at Long Lake near Spokane.
