Fans Invited to Join UW Women's Soccer Team for Selection Show

SEATTLE - The 16th-ranked Washington women's soccer team is inviting supporters to join them on Monday, Nov. 12 as they watch the NCAA Tournament Selection Show live at Varlamos Pizzeria.
Coach Lesle Gallimore's Huskies finished the regular season Sunday with a 1-0 victory over Oregon State. The win pushed their overall record to 12-4-2.
The Huskies have been ranked in the national top 20 all season and are virtually assured an at-large berth into the 64-team NCAA Tournament field. They will congregate Monday to view the live Fox Sports Northwest broadcast of the Tournament Selection Show that announces the complete seedings and pairings.
Family, friends and supporters are invited to join the team beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Varlamos Pizzeria which is located near the Washington campus. The address is: 3617 N.E. 45th. The Selection Show starts at noon.
The Huskies, who are seeking their sixth NCAA Tournament invitation in the last eight years, may be chosen as one of 16 hosts for four-team regionals.
If Washington is selected to host games at Husky Soccer Field there would be a first-round doubleheader on Friday, Nov. 16 beginning at 2 p.m. The Huskies would play in the second game of the twin bill at 4:30 p.m. A single second-round game would be played on Sunday, Nov. 18 at noon.
